Every Texan deserves to see a doctor when they're sick. Every parent deserves to get their kids the care they need. But too many Texans can't afford healthcare, or they live too far from a hospital, or their insurance company denies the care they were promised.

Texas House Democrats believe healthcare should be about people, not profits. We want to expand access, so more Texans can see a doctor, fill a prescription, or go to the hospital without going broke. We want to protect rural hospitals, so families in small towns aren't left without care. And we want to stand up to insurance companies that care more about their bottom line than your health.

Too many Texans have been denied the care they needed. Too many families have gone into debt just trying to stay healthy. That's not right, and it has to change.

Saving our neighborhood schools

Texas House Democrats believe in a different path. We want to fully fund our public schools, so classrooms have what they need, your child's teachers get paid what they deserve, and every student gets a world-class education. We also want to lower your property taxes and take the pressure off homeowners by making our state pay its fair share.

Creating good jobs

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. The local restaurants, family-owned shops, home services, and business services that power our neighborhoods. When small businesses do well, our whole community does well.

Texas House Democrats believe in helping small businesses grow. We want to offer real incentives, like tax breaks and support, so small business owners can hire more workers, pay better wages, and keep their doors open. We want starting a business in Texas to be easier, not harder.

Right now, big corporations get plenty of help while small businesses are often left to fend for themselves. When we invest in small businesses, we're investing in good jobs, strong communities, and a Texas economy that works for everyone, not just big corporations at the top.

Ending Corruption

Ending corruption and corporate greed by putting the people first and ending tax breaks for billionaires.

For too long, Republicans in Austin have handed out favors to billionaires and big corporations while working families and small businesses get left behind. Billionaires get tax breaks. Corporations get special deals. And regular Texans are left footing the bill.

Texas House Democrats believe it's time for that to end. We want to put Texans first, not corporate donors and billionaires. Our government should work for you. You deserve leaders who make decisions based on what's best for our communities, not for whoever writes the biggest check.
